Question about the health care debates . . . ?

I would like to hear logical answers from both sides and not foolish modern platitudes. Why is the average republican opposed to health care? Democrats arguments for HC are backed by statistical evidence by non-partisan, reliable world sources such as the CIA World fact book. The republicans always give odd answers about some old relative waiting to get surgery in Canada or something. Can anyone give a well formatted argument that is backed by credible sources (not fox news) against health care reform. I am interested in hearing and definitely not mocking anybody. Please no hater comments. Thank you.
