Thank you Stephenie Meyer!?
The woman has done something wonderful. She has made writing accessible to generation Moron 5. By consciously writing in a voice/tone that's not her own but that of herself in her freshman year of high school, she has revolutionized literature by putting the editorial stead in the hands of the common reader, no matter how common that reader may be. Her stunning seminal piece Twilight was not written as a pedantic display of obscure knowledge, as most books are today. It was written specifically from the voice and perspective of middle cl teens. Indeed any of her fans will tell you her greatest achievement was in giving any would be storytellers hope that they too could have a bestselling novel on bookstore shelves. One need only take a page from her book side by side with a fan fiction written for it and try to distinguish the two to recognize her importance as a modern literary mind. Stephenie Meyer, we salute you.
